The Settings editor (⌘, (Windows, Linux Ctrl+,)) provides a graphical interface to modify settings. When you modify settings, VS Code stores them in the settings.json file. Optionally, you can edit the settings.json file directly.

Since joining the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden as a board member nearly a decade ago (and serving as chairman since 2016), I have enjoyed a front-row seat to the serious deliberations about the museum’s acquisition and exhibition strategies. What I have learned is that the collecting priorities of curators can diverge wildly from those of the market. The museum’s acquisition of part of the collection of the Italian visionary Giuseppe Panza di Biumo in 2007 exposed me for the first time to incredible conceptual art by On Kawara, Joseph Kosuth, Lawrence Weiner, Douglas Huebler, and many others whose work I follow and collect today. The acquisition of work from one of the 20th century’s great connoisseurs changed the museum forever—and, on a smaller scale, it helped shape and inform my thinking as a collector. Every art lover would benefit from this kind of perspective.

The city was put on auction online and sold to a Netherlands-based media company. The company bought the simulated city for a respectable $50,000. That would pay for one heck of a vacation to the real-life Amsterdam.
True to life, many virtual worlds with in-game economies accrue ultra-rare objects with asking prices so high that even some of the wealthiest gamers willing to invest might have to remortgage their real-life homes to afford them. While most wealthy people would probably prefer to spend their money on a giant yacht or an outrageously expensive football club, some can’t sleep at night without knowing that the most expensive object in an imaginary world is in their possession, at least until the game’s servers inevitably shut down.
Additionally, exclusive in-game items can create a competitive advantage for gaming businesses. By carefully designing and implementing these items, developers can differentiate their game from competitors and establish a loyal player community. This can result in higher player retention rates and a stronger brand identity within the gaming industry.
Loot boxes are virtual containers that players can purchase or earn in-game. These boxes contain random items, including exclusive in-game items. The element of chance and surprise adds excitement and anticipation to acquiring exclusive items.
